Sixties Scoop Class Action Suit Rally

on August 23, 2016 at 8:15 am at Osgoode Hall 130 Queen Street West Toronto ON For those who are interested in attending, please call June Markie at 1-800-319-3001 or 1-705-254-2702 The Sixties Scoop Steering Committee is requesting supporters to attend this rally in Toronto. They will be providing transportation to and from the event. Should you be interested in supporting this important rally for First Nations’ benefit, please contact June before August 12, 2016 at 12:00 noon so we can make arrangements with the committee to bring our people to this important historical event. Christianna Annie Wesley

Aka Christine Wesley, 88 of Marathon, entered into eternal peace on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Sudbury Regional Hospital. In the last days before her passing she was surrounded by her daughters, grandchildren and their partners, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, 34 in all. Her last days were filled with stories of love, lots of laughter, hand drumming and songs. Known to many as Chris, she was born in a tepee on July 07, 1927 in Moose Factory, Ontario, daughter of the late George and Sophia Butterfly. When Chris was a toddler, her family moved to Missanabie and after the tragic death of her mother in 1934, Chris along with her younger siblings entered into Shingwauk Residential Sc
